“Domain names are worthless” » DomainConsultant: " recent availability of teaparty.com is a good thing, a very good thing because it brings the discussion of domains and their value and relevancy into the mainstream.
Yet in that regard, it also brings to the surface those naysayers, you know, the ones who have been barking for the last 15 years? Waiting for domains to die?
To wit, I am a regular reader of conservative Andrew Sullivan’s blog, The Daily Beast.
This week that discussion turned towards teaparty.com and as always is inevitable, the dog started yapping his lips:
The funny thing about those generic category domain names is that they are all worthless, however much they may have sold for once.
