The danger in not teaching the prevailing scientific theory about the origin of the universe is that eventually it is quite likely that even the most sheltered and isolated of Yeshivah students will be privy to one of the classic arguments.
Depending on the setting the one who had never learned the scientific theory would be in no position to argue either for or against such theories."
